Like everyone else (note this isn't the only thread I found), when I click on the launcher, it appears on my shelf with superimposed spinning, but it doesn't open a window any more. As things worked one day and then not the next on two different Linux partitions (and apparently to others), I'm confident we didn't change anything to cause this. I installed Linux and got Minecraft working first on my profile and then on my son's just a couple days ago (on a Lenovo Flex 5 with an Intel Core i3 processor), and yesterday it stopped working just hours after buying my son a license.
